Since 2008 Flying Finn Mikko Eskelinen has determinately developed his international racing career and it has been rewarded with many podiums and titles.
In his 13 years of racing he has won multiple Championship titles in european racing series as well as in Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asian series.
International Racing Championship series 2020 were originally set to start at the end of March from Malaysian Circuit of Sepang as Flying Finns Elias Niskanen and Mikko Eskelinen supposed to start their season 2020 in Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asian series.
However due terrible international Koronavirus pandemic the series was cancelled and therefore also their plans were changed.
Now few months later
the epidemic has begun to ease up as European countries have start opening their borders so that also the race car engines can be started up. However as there won't be Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asian series, Finns Elias Niskanen and Mikko Eskelinen will drive in European series in PRO-AM group with 620bhp Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo run by german Leipert Motorsport.
Eskelinen enters his 13th international racing season as reigning Lamborghini Super Trofeo European Championship bronze medalist. Since season 2014 he's enjoyed competition in Asian and in European series which has delivered him one Asian Championship title and three other medal positions. In season 2018 he won the Asian title with another fellow finn Juuso Puhakka, who in season 2020 competes in GT World Challenge with GT3-car.
Each Lamborghini Super Trofeo series racing weekends includes two one-hour free practice sessions, two 15 minutes qualifying sessions and two 50 minutes races with mandatory drivers change.
